Overview

  • Overseas and Singapore Medical Expenses

    Covers your medical expenses incurred whilst you're overseas and medical expenses incurred after you're back in Singapore from your trip, this includes TCM & Physiotherapy.

  • Emergency Medical Evacuation or Repatriation

    Rest assured that our appointed assistance company (EMA), will facilitate evacuation or repatriation based on the severity of your condition. The policy extends to cover repatriation of mortal remains or local burial including cases due to pre-existing medical condition.

  • Trip Curtailment or Disruption

    Covers your irrecoverable transport and accommodation expenses if it's necessary and unavoidable to shorten or alter your planned trip while overseas.

  • Travel Delay or Baggage Delay

    Covers whist overseas or in Singapore if your public transport is delayed from departing or your checked-in baggage isn't with you upon arrival.

  • Covid-19 Optional Cover

    At an additional premium, you can opt to be covered for Covid-19 when diagnosed before, during or after your trip.

We have heard your feedback and decided to combine both products into 1 (EQ TravelSafe). Now upon purchase, you just need to decide if you want to include Covid-19 cover at additional premium. All in one product!

Right now, our Covid-19 cover doesn’t have sub-limits. Those benefits that are applicable, will be based on the limit stated as per the main benefit.

Insured must be Singaporean, Permanent Resident or Foreigner with a valid Employment Pass, Work Permit, Dependant Pass, Student Pass or Long-Term Social Visit Pass and living in Singapore.

Child must be unmarried and unemployed person under 18 years old or up to age 24 years old if enrolled or still studying full-time in a recognized institution of higher learning.

Legally married couple with any number of their legally dependent children. Each child must be accompanied by either parent for any trips. 

For COVID-19 cover, you must fulfil all vaccination, pre-departure tests and post-arrival tests requirements (if any) imposed by the country of destination or transport provider at the time of the trip.

You will need to purchase this policy before you depart from Singapore. Kindly note some benefits will require you to purchase the policy few days before you depart from Singapore. As always, we advise you to purchase your travel insurance as early as possible.

We do not cover pre-existing medical conditions, except under Section 13 (Repatriation of Mortal Remains / Local Burial). For more information, you may refer to our policy wording.

Accidents caused directly or indirectly while engaging in the following will not be covered. For more details, you may refer to our policy wording.

  1. Underwater diving activities, unless it’s for leisure purpose involving artificial breathing apparatus and no deeper than 30 metres, and You must hold a recognized PADI certification (or similar recognised diving qualification) and is diving with a buddy who holds a PADI certification (or similar recognised diving qualification) or with a qualified diving instructor.
  2. Sprints or racing other than on foot (except for ultra-marathons, biathlons and triathlons which are excluded); motor rallies and competitions; rock climbing or abseiling, except on man-made walls; mountaineering at mountains; coasteering; pot-holing; expeditions; hunting trips; hiking or trekking above the height of 3,000 metres sea level; any activities involving the use of a bobsleigh or skeleton; off-piste skiing;
  3. Canoeing, kayaking or white-water rafting, unless with a qualified guide and below Grade 4 (of International Scale of River Difficulty); and
  4. Any activity involving You being airborne (whether suspended or not) not limiting to parachuting, wingsuit flying, hand gliding, bungee jumping, zip lining, skydiving, helicopter or high diving.

Single Trip Plan – There will be no refund once the Certificate of Insurance is issued.

Annual Plan – We will refund you based on the short period premium table below subject to a minimum premium payment of S$16.35 (inclusive of GST).
